The Column Aliasing feature is mainly a developers tool used in conjunction with the development API(METDaemon Developer's Kit). Column aliasing allows an administrator to rename columns with more descriptive or informative names, or to allow easy reference changes between columns without affecting client applications. Some packages do not make use of the column aliasing feature. Please refer to the individual package documentation to see if it makes use of column aliasing, and how to implement it.
